10 Year Dinners, Annual Meetings, Pastor’s Kids, and Christmas

Our fall at Epiphany is underway! The cooler weather has arrived, the leaves are turning, and Fort Ligonier Days has come and gone. Here’s a preview of our work at Epiphany for this fall, with plenty of opportunities for friends new and old to discover or rediscover God’s love in the Christian Gospel.

Sunday Services & Christian Ed

Our Sunday Services continue to meet at 10:00 a.m. in Bethlen’s Moriah Chapel. We’ll be continuing our sermon series in The Gospel of Luke, unpacking the original story of Jesus Christ and reconnecting with Him on His own terms.

Our Christian Ed continues at 9:00 a.m., and is being led by a trio of Epiphany’s brightest minds. In September, October, and November, Professors Marjorie Moyer, Dr. Marty Rice, and Tim Landy are sharing about the overlap of the Christian Gospel in their academic disciplines: art, philosophy, and literature. Join us as we discuss the integration of the love of God and the academic vocation!

10 Year Dinner & Annual Meeting

Epiphany celebrated 10 years of worship together on Saturday, October 5th, and Pastor Bryan announced the beginnings of a new season of ministry for the church. At our annual meeting on November 3, Pastor Bryan and the vestry will be sharing more about this new season of ministry, and also presenting a 2020 budget for the church’s consideration. Also: there’s a potluck!

Advent & Holiday Season at Epiphany

Members of Epiphany will have the opportunity to partner with The Salvation Army to help organize Ligonier’s Angel Tree program in early December. We’ll also have the opportunity to ring the bell for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. And stay tuned for our annual Christmas Caroling at the Bethlen Home.

Christmas Eve service will take place on December 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the Moriah Chapel, where we’ll be observing a service of Lessons and Carols. Join us for traditional Christmas music, the historic Bible readings, and a celebration of God’s plan to rescue the world through the birth of a baby child. All members of the community are welcome. There’s no dress code for Christmas Eve – come prepared to celebrate!

Pastor Bryan & Beth are expecting!

Pastor Bryan & Beth are expecting their first child in late November. Once Baby Jarrell arrives, Pastor Bryan will be taking two weeks of paternity leave to adjust to the new family routine. We warmly welcome The Rev. Karen Stevenson and The Rev. Ben Hughes, who have both agreed to stand in for Pastor Bryan while he is away.
